Re: Can I carry at Longwood gardens?
I was at Longwood Gardens a week ago. There was not any screening. I didn't look for signs, just went about my business.

If you are going at night for the lights (I assume since its cold and what not ) be sure to stash a good light with you. Lots of the paths are very dark between setups.

Great suggestion you make. My wife and I were there on a rainy evening, saw the lights were on and music playing. Took a walk on the paths, took a jolt to the back and knee when we went down three steps unexpectedly. There was no lighting or railings for the steps. Longwood needs to remedy that situation.

It was lit up pretty well via the Christmas lights and and low wattage lights along the path. However, If one has trouble seeing in "darker scenarios" Your idea is good. I would like to go back again, it was amazing! Nice walk too----close to 3 miles when all said and done.

On an unrelated/related note, that dumbass tourist trap Tinseltown in Oaks had some pathetic security with metal detectors that looked like toys. I walked through thinking I'd have a 75% chance of success and if not I'd say I'd put it in the car. Got a beep, took out my phone and keys, went back to my kid in the stroller, took him around the metal detector and by then my wife had picked up my keys a phone and the guy was with someone else.... Just kept walking. Guess going at peak crowd time worked out.
Truly silly that these places do this. What are they trying to accomplish at a family oriented event?
