Re: Annual Harrisburg Rally - June 8, 2020 - Save the date
I will be attending with a rifle (first time) and without a mask. Stunning and brave, I know.
Power always thinks...that it is doing God's service when it is violating all his laws.

Bullshit. If it's anyone, it's Stolfer.
And whoever it is, if they even have the balls to speak for themselves, why the fuck would I care what they think about how **I** exercise my rights? There has not been a single year when there hasn't been some drummed up excuse to not do this or that, and it always originates somewhere within "our side."
Even if that happens, I'm not changing a damn thing. Legislators have no more authority to govern the exercise of my rights than the governor himself does (ironic title notwithstanding).Get your "Guns Save Lives" stickers today! PM for more info.

Nothing but a way for some other for profit organization to generate a little controversy and get recognized. Pay them no mind, do what you feel is right for a 2A rally. No one here cares about anything other than people’s safety. Personally I’ll have no mask, a short and tie, and a rifle slung over the shoulder with a sign.
Resistance to tyrants is obedience to God.

From my observations, it does scare some people off. I'll never forget Shittsburgh, which was my first big carry event. I was apprehensive and didn't know what to expect but now I'm cool, calm and collected, exercising my rights. Just like my right to walk down the sidewalk.

Re: Annual Harrisburg Rally - June 8, 2020 - Save the date
The purpose of my post was to reassure the first timers that there is nothing to be concerned about.
As regulars, a service we can all perform is to fill in the information gaps to encourage new participants.
It would be nice if there was a unified message from the 2A community, but unfortunately the nature of the 2A community makes that difficult.
At this point we should just expect that there will always be mixed messaging so that we are better prepared to fill in the gaps.

From what I've seen, Open Carry PA, while very active for our rights, likes to "go rogue" sometimes. I'll also wait to hear from Mecalfe himself...who basically just said "Constitution MFer!" to Wolf.
And remember when some people here were going crazy about them using the "STAND YOUR GROUND AGAINST SOCIALISM" theme? Doesn't seem too crazy now, does it?

Stand Your Ground Against Socialism:
Metcalfe Confirms 2020 Right to Keep and Bear Arms Rally Will Go on Without Dictator Wolf’s Permission
HARRISBURG — State Representative Daryl Metcalfe (R-Butler) sent the following letter to Gov. Tom Wolf to officially confirm that this year’s Rally to Protect Your Right to Keep and Bear Arms will take place as originally scheduled, on Monday, June 8, beginning at 10 a.m., on the front Capitol steps, Capitol Complex, Harrisburg. Metcalfe is also encouraging all law-abiding citizens who attend to practice social distancing according to CDC guidelines:
“I am writing to you today on behalf of all freedom-loving, law-abiding Pennsylvania firearms owners to inform you that my staff has received your presumptuous email notice through the Department of General Services stating that ‘the governor has instructed us to cancel all events at the Capitol through July 5,’ with the usual non-transparent explanation of ‘COVID-19.’
“As the prime sponsor of an impeachment resolution to bring about your removal from office, let me begin the people’s response by saying that we do not need your permission to freely exercise our Constitutional rights to peacefully assemble and denounce your tyrannical regime.
“It is precisely the Second Amendment and our right to keep and bear arms which provides the foundation and reinforcement of all the rights recognized and proclaimed in our state and federal constitutions. This especially includes, Article 1, Section 21 of the Pennsylvania Constitution which clearly states: ‘The right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the State shall not be questioned.’
“Your incompetence and callous disregard for your fellow man give this year’s theme of ‘Stand Your Ground Against Socialism’ even more substantive significance. Your unconstitutional dictates and Orwellian overreach into our lives and the marketplace has caused immeasurable harm and hardship for far more Pennsylvanians than the virus!
“Your enlisting of law enforcement to intimidate law-abiding citizens into accepting your unconstitutional dictate to close their business is offensive and an inappropriate use of our men and women in blue. Your divisive fear mongering tactics encouraging neighbors to turn in neighbors for non-compliance with your unconstitutional orders should never happen in the land of the free and home of the brave.
“You have no authority to imprison any citizen in their home or otherwise rob them of their right to put food on the table. Our right to arm and defend ourselves and our loved ones is non-negotiable, and you can expect us to vigilantly defend it on the state Capitol steps on Monday, June 8.”
Galations 6:9...And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

Help a Newb out. First time heading to the rally and I have a few questions, if I may: Where would be the best place to find parking? (F250, so no inside lots). Is there a rally point for PAFOA? And finally how about the uniform of the day? Full battle rattle? Hawaii shirts? Suit and tie? Long guns? Thanks in advance.
