To a couple obvious NRA members, I said "I am also a member of the NRA and they are the big dogs, so we still have to support them. But sometimes the big dog gets fat and lazy and stays on the porch". It was like melting Libtard snowflakes. Fucking cunts.

BTW..typical gun owner suck. Fucking Fudds. They don't give a fuck about being active. People looked at my table and I started into my spiel and they showed absolutely no interest. I told them without these type of organizations, there would be NO GUN SHOW. I also tried the "it's easier to be active and keep your shit than being complacent and trying to get your shit back"....

Nothing worked on 80% of the people.

There was a woman at the Oaks Show gathering signatures for a 2A petition of some sort. I don't see petitions having any clout but I'm not opposed to signing one to show that we do have some numbers...that is until I see that they want to enter my information into a digital database.

I don't usually write reps other than my own, but the more I look at that poster the more I feel we are going to lose attendees, so I penned this quick note to Metcalfe:

Dear Rep. Metcalfe & Staff,

I’ll begin by saying I’m not a constituent, but I’ve attended your 2A rally religiously for at least a decade, along with hundreds of other PAFOA.org members. I fully support the idea of the rally, and I see the good it does when we approach other legislators to discuss proposed legislation. In fact, my wife and I open up our home that day for an afternoon cookout for PAFOA members and their friends, hoping to draw more people to Harrisburg. Last year we had over 30 people stop by for a bite before departing for all corners of the commonwealth.

The flier for this year was posted online and I did a double take. Are we ‘fighting socialism’, or are we standing up for our 2A rights? Whether it was just a mixed message, or whether it was done to provoke, it sends the wrong impression to many people. Using a socialist boogieman as a call to action is unnecessary; in fact it’s what gun control advocates love. “Their coming for your guns”, has become synonymous with, “the sky is falling” according to them, and you just added fuel to their argument. Please just call it like it is: “Do you want to end up like Virginia?”, or, “Wolfe is Northam in sheep’s clothing”.

If it’s not too late, I suggest whomever put together your flier reconsider the message. Your event should only be about fighting for the Second Amendment, not against socialism. You and I both know there are numerous Republicans who would love to implement gun control too!
