Re: State police told to treat ‘ghost guns’ parts as firearms
Nice. I was headed to that Eagle Arms show tomorrow to buy 3 80% lowers. I guess the only way for me to purchase one is if the dealer has an FFL and does the background check. Most sellers who sell 80% AR lowers dont even have an FFL.

Re: State police told to treat ‘ghost guns’ parts as firearms
They can fuss over this 80% thing all they want. Lowers have been cast from resin, carved from wood and made out of melted beer cans. There's even kits available where the lower is made of layers that are bolted together.
Modular weapons are the current design that works. The laws they keep trying to twist are based on the old "machined steel, gunsmith produced" model. It's like comparing having monks hand writing a bible, versus using a printing press. And we all know how that turned out. The Vatican had fits over "the word" being spread to the masses. Well, people in power here don't want the "masses" having the power to create their own guns. It's not about "bad people" making guns, it's about "bad people" who want to control everyone else.
