You should get the legendary Glock 44.
Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

I'd go with the 1911 but for a strictly "fun" gun, I'd get a Ruger MkIV or 22/45 Lite. You can have a lot of fun and burn a lot of ammo real cheaply.

Mossberg shockwave's aren't all that much fun to shoot. They're really difficult to aim and fairly likely to smack you in the teeth if you don't know what you're doing.

Re: What to get?? Need help!
I have a shockwave. Enjoyed it at first. Had some fun with it.
It got old fast and didn't bring it out too much.
I put a brace on it and it got interesting again. It isn't pleasant to shoot and it is relegated to a home defense role.
If one is looking for fun it is hard to beat a 9mm PCC. Cheap to shoot and acurate.
They are all i am interested in anymore. Steel plate rack and the PCC never gets old for me.
The extar link I posted is my favorite range gun. I put a dot on it. Incredibly light and acurate. Everyone who has shot it wants one.
PCC= Fun

I don’t know your collection. I don’t know what your idea if fun is either. I do now if I had to pick one of those two guns I would probably get the shockwave. The reason for that though is because I already have three 1911s and zero short-barreled shotgun’s.
Between the two you listed the replies you got where exactly as I would’ve expected them to be. Don’t rule out whatever may be sitting on the shelf of your local gun shop when you wander in. It’s been years since I have made a plan to purchase.DDG-8 "Sine Timore"
