Don't need a bumpy stock to play machine gun Kelly. long ago and far away a corporal showed me how to rapid fire a M1 Garand.

Brace the butt on your hip and wiggle the trigger finger rapidly. He told me to aim low and let the gun "walk" up the target.

It will sound and act just like auto fire. Must easier than any gadget.

Heh, yeah bump stocks are for the un coordinated. So if I bumpfire a rifle without a BS is my finger an NFA Item?

A waste of time and money. Any shooter worth his salt would not even want one of those contraptions. I know they are fighting on principle, but to me their scarce monetary resources could be better used someway else.

I don't think people realize why it's important...

If they can get away with making whatever they want a machine gun, they can say everything is a machine gun.
Like triggers, foregrips, angle grips, pistol grips, bipods, slings, pistol braces... Give an inch they will take a mile.
Get caught "bump firing" a semi auto one time using any of those things, it's a MG now.

What are you ok with banning next?

The stocks are a waste of money. Anyone can bump fire a rifle off their shoulder and empty a mag while aiming down the sights without one.

The thing that makes the bump fire stock or bump fire anything not a MG, is that you need TWO hands to accomplish it and a little bit of skill.

A machine gun will fire full auto any way you hold it, even with one hand and standing on your head.
Try bump firing in any other position other then standing or sitting perfectly still, try to do it while running or poking around a corner, etc... It's impossible, so it's 100% not a machinegun. Saying it's a MG is BS and they know it.

One minute they say it's perfectly legal and the next they decide it's not.
    What's next?

That's the "no true Scotsman" fallacy, and it's not about bump stocks. It's about unelected bureaucrats changing laws on a whim. It is not a waste of time and money.

I wish they could take the Judge out and ask him to fire a bumpstocked rifle. Then a machine gun. When he fails to achieve "automatic" fire with the bumpstock, it would be impactful to his decision making, I think.
