    Default threaded barrels PA-Philly

Does anybody know if it is illegal to own a threaded barrel (9/16X24) in philadelphia? I was going to buy one to install a compensator.

OMG ... have you recently moved to PA from NJ or NY? Yes, threaded barrels are fully legal throughout the Commonwealth of PA, even Philadelphia.

If he did, he better be voting republican, or he can just move back.

Although, since it is his first post, I'm willing to bet he is just new to the forum, and isn't some pond scum NJ resident trying to flee the bed they made.

It is quite a serious crime to have local gun laws in Pennsylvania. Which philly keeps learning. The hard way. It is why you're taxes are so high there.

So yes, it is of course, legal.

And remember, vote early, vote often, vote Red.

well the 1998 in his screen name might just be his year of birth putting him at 21 which could very well mean he is new to firearms and the laws of PA.

In any event welcome to the site and enjoy your threaded barrel.

    Yep, perfectly legal.

The best way to make sure it stays that way is to make sure you and every gun owner you know votes EVERY election for pro-gun candidates. Get to know your Reps and Senators and let them know that you value your 2nd Amendment rights and expect them to be upheld.

Welcome to the forum and have fun!

Perfectly legal. Philly isn't allowed to make gun laws.

And why not apply for a tax stamp, suppressors are way cooler than compensators.
