Re: 81-Year-Old Man Dies In Tree-Stand
There are a few, small units rated for indoor use.
None of the larger ones are rated safe for indoor use.
I wanted one for power failures because the wife hates the smell of kerosene heaters, and that's when I learned that almost none of teh propane heaters are "indoor safe".
That said, with as much ventilation as you're likely to find in an enclosed stand, there probably wouldn't be an issue with any of them.
Safe for indoor use:
(NOT safe to use with 20 lb tank indoors - line must be run to where tank is located outdoors)
Not safe for indoor use:

Re: 81-Year-Old Man Dies In Tree-Stand
I believe his heaters are safe for indoor use but as I said, it's for spot heating until the kerosene furnace gets everything warmed up.
Two local young men died in a camp 30 some years ago using an unsafe heater after they stuffed all the openings tight and went to sleep.
Never woke up.
My friends camp has a ventless propane heater in one end. You can see through the floor in some areas so it's not very tight.
I dont like them. I have a 30k ventless heater in my garage but have a variable speed exhaust / intake fan for make up air. The inlet and outlet on opposite sides. When I installed it, it kept going out. I believe it has an o2 sensor
I'm probably going to change it to a regular garage vented ceiling furnace.Opinions are like anal apertures. They all stink but mine.

Hey, every day there are probably thousands of cigarette smokers on oxygen lying there in bed, smoking away, with no problem at all - right up until the day they are literally smoking away after setting the bed and house on fire.
There's the safe way to do things, and there's the way to do things that were safe right up until it gets you dead.
