Yes, I highly recommend a charging handle on an AR15.

Seriously, another vote for the BCM Gunfighter CH.

I agree with the Geissele ACH recommendation. I have heard nothing but good comments about the Geissele ACH. I am planning to put one on my Colt 6933 as soon as I can save up enough pennies.

I put a Geissele Super Charging Handle in my father-in-law's AR. I like it a lot. Will be putting them in future AR builds.

My main draw is the hooded latch for suppressed shooting. Yes I know I can use some rtv and make my own but it’s nice to just drop it in. I couldn’t believe how much less gas was hitting me in the face after throwing geissele handles in.

That's pretty cool, and I would love to see a real world comparison with the Devil Dog version which uses a picatiny rail mount.

FWIW I think the guy was cheating with the 1 hand bolt lock back. He has a Magpul Bad Lever on his rifle and it certainly appeared to me that he was using that to lock the bolt.

*UPDATE EDIT: FWIW I can't find any links to the gunfighter gear charging handle. Chrome blocks me from going directly to the link in video for malicious content.

BCM Gunfighter medium. They were designed by Vltor, one of my favorite AR parts companies. Mine is older and actually says BCM and Vltor on it. Never seen the need for anything more then that.

I like the Geissele better and I have both and had a few others. I would swap them all over to Geissele if I could.
I just don't like the pinch point on the other ones. I got my finger nicked a few times.
Not a big deal but you have to keep the meat of your finger out of there.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I think I’ll start with the Strike Industries DIY part. If I don’t like it I’m only out $10 and I’ll save up for the Geissele.
