That bolt carrier block was probably an ATF requirement as I think some of the imported clones have them as well?

Though tempting I'm eventually going to spend that kind of cash on a Brugger and Thomet which will be my last gun purchase of anywhere near that price range.

Some clone manufacturers use push pin lowers with a reduced sized shelf (such as MKE) to prevent full auto conversion. With a reduced sized shelf, ATF required manufacturers to have another full auto blocking mechanism, in MKE's case, a welded in blocking feature that prevented insertion of a full auto BCG.

The original, full sized shelf of the older HK9x series of rifles was considered adequate to prevent conversion to full auto, and did not require an auto BCG block.

The block won't affect 99.9% of gun owners. The elite .01% owners were hoping to drop their sear in this.

I must admit, even if the HK is nicer quality, the nice thing about my Coharie was that it had almost all US made parts. I believe you need 6 US made parts to make 922(r) for an MP5.

Yeah but the elite knew or should have known that the ATF would want something in place and that H&K would have to comply if they wanted to bring their new guns here.

I thought that that 922 crap only aplied to rifles?

    It applies to SBRs too.

I just don't know what I would do with another PCC. I already have 2 SBRs, one of which I don't really want anymore. I fear I won't resist the temptation when they call me tomorrow with the price.

so if you have a properly owned sear, is there a legal standing saying you can't make the receiver take the sear?
