    Default What organizations to support?

I am a long time NRA member. I am an Endowment Life Member. I bought my daughter a life membership when she was young. We had our first grandchild born last January. I signed him up for a 3 year NRA membership.

What other groups or organizations are worth supporting? I see mention of Gun Owners of America, but don't know a lot about them.

    Thanks!

Absolutely GOA. And if you use Amazon you can support the GOF with your purchases. It's the Foundation arm of the GOA.

Links to the GOA site. I'm a life member in NRA and GOA. Also a life member in the Second Amendment Foundation however I not real thrilled with them.

This may actually sound crazy. I belong to an organization called "Jews for the preservation of firearms ownership".

No, I am not Jewish. That is not a requirement to belong to their organization.

FOAC gets monthly automatic donations from me. They seem to be the ones that are on the frobt lines in PA.

Also donate to the NRA-ILA and occasionally GOA.

I agree and support GOA and FOAC.

It is my view that everyone needs to support at least once national, one state, and one local organization.

If you are in or near Allentown you may wish to support the Lehigh Valley Tea Party. In addition to typical issues, we do a great deal supporting 2A. (LVTP.org)

    I agree with the others.

Definitely join GOA, they are the tip of the spear for 2A rights nationally today, worth every penny you give them.
If you want to protect the 2A in Pennsylvania join the FOAC.

I have personally interacted with both organizations, as have others here, and both need and deserve our support to continue to protect our 2A rights.

They are a great organization, I met their President at Morrisville a few years back and have known about them for years. The GOA and NRA are the two National organizations that are the best to support. There are state organizations that are good for state level advocacy. Remember this though, all these groups and organizations are only advocates it's up to you to do your share of the work by writing or calling your representatives and most of all make sure you show up to vote when it's time to vote and not just for Presidential elections. You national, state and local representatives are important because they are the ones that make laws to take your rights away from you.

Another to look into is the Firearms Policy Coalition. https://www.firearmspolicy.org/
They were one of the groups involved in overturning the Pittsburg gun ordinances. They have a well organized website . They even got a legal Legal Action Hotline to report 2nd amendment violations among other services.

Here's some of the legal action they got going on concerning gun rights on state and federal level

The only organizations I don't support are the Nagr's, they are just a plain rip off that has nothing to do with gun rights and everything to do with separating you from your hard earned money. Then there's the Second Amendment Foundation. Alan Gottlieb the President was a Pat Toomey ass sniffer promoting the Toomey Manchin Universal Gun Registration scheme.
