    Default Wolf Ammo-Am I Safe?

Picked up a case of Wolf 145gn. Says it is bi-metallic jacket. Is that gonna f-up my barrel or am I okay? Also polymer coated case but I assume in a bolt action that's not a problem? It’s 308 but that’s inconsequential I would say. It’s for one of my bolt action hunting rifles. Just for practice not to hunt. Thoughts?

Bi-metal jacket is soft steel with a brass or copper outside layer so should not be a problem for wear on your barrel. Some ranges do not allow magnetic bullets, so that may be the only consideration.

I shoot a ton of steel cases Ammo in rifle and pistols, and while the bi metal jacket bullet can erode a barrel faster with long term sustained fire or over thousands and thousands of rounds it’s not common or anything I ever worry about.

I shoot wolf in my Ranch Rifle , no issues, but I remember that was a selling point on them .

I appreciate it. Seems not a lot available in 308 for practice ammo. Frustrating. So I will use it mostly to hunt but sometime practice with it with the wolf. I’m safe? Don’t want to kill my barrel is all.
