Cool LAST MINUTE HUNTERS LICENSE !

Visited no less than 6 LGSs Black Friday all stores were packed with hunters trying to get their big game license and more than half of the hunters had their rifles getting scopes mounted and boresighted which leads me to believe than these hunters are foregoing the range at last minute to sight in their firearms and leave it to chance that the boresighting will be enough ! Its Not enough !

Bore sight has an upside. All the rapid fire says, "they missed", and alerts me that deer may be heading my way.
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

Yep! That just pushes more deer and bear around to me.

    I'm OK with that.

Very unethical. If I'm going to take a shot, I try my damn hardest that it's an instant drop. That means perfect zero with the load in use.

Last minute hunters. That makes me laugh. I get my new license the 1st week they are available. And i shoot my riles though out the year. No need to be sure ''it's in'' last second. I enjoy target shooting any chance i get.

I tried to go to the indoor range today to avoid all the last minute aight in guys, but they were even there. Watched two groups of guys trying to sight on at 25yds and putting up fist sized groups. Waiting line to get a lane was too long so I just called it a day. Got to fondle a 92x at least, which I think might go on the top of the "list" after handling though.

I was at the range today to site in but not going to be used tomorrow as I have others to use. Lots of people there last minute. I too shoot year round so just another site in for me. Not an urgent I gotta hint one. More work on that to come.

I will say the nice thing about the week before deer season is that there is always plenty of interesting brass in the garbage cans at the range.
