Lol show me this evidence of M855 not penetrating drywall lmao
Or even doing worse than ANY other caliber.

Show me evidence of the word "M855" in the post you quoted.

(Hint: He didn't say anything at all about M855)

I've had people more knowledgeable than myself talking about good 5.56 round choices for home defense - that there are studies that show it is better than using certain shotgun loads in regards to overpenetration.

the brake that is put on the exp556 (which is NOT removable by the way, no readily anyway) does an incredible job of mitigating recoil/ muzzle rise
    BUT...
this thing is way loud! louder than the m85np on which i was running a DTK2 clone brake.

since the EXP556 can run any standard AR grip - recommend getting a magpul or whatever other grip that has storage inside grip and shoving some ear pro in there so you always have some.

I don't think it's a big secret that certain 5.56 bullets are safer to use in homes than shotguns.

I'm not inclined to research it though to "prove" it.

Glad you went with the Extar over KT. I've had a bunch of KT firearms in the past and I just don't trust them to protect my life and the lives of my family.

I dont have to prove it to you because I dont care what you think.
There is a reason SWAT entry teams went from 9mm sub guns to SBR type AR15s 2 decades ago. This is the reason. Fast moving lightly constructed bullets come apart in obstacles.

so anyway... I also contacted Frontier was able to get some spare bolt carriers and recoil springs (since both of these are proprietary items) and the rest (except for the actual upper) is standard AR parts (bolt, grip, firing pin etc)
