Rubber coating spray for grips, etc?

Spray-on bedliner would be my choice if I did this.

That's what I was thinking for my mags - it would add texture as well as identification.
Not sure if it comes in colors though (in spray can) - I'll have to look.

Yea use a bed liner type spray. Its made for a thicker application and is heavier duty. Although even cured, i dont think id want that shit on my face.

Yeah, I'm thinking it's pretty rough-textured.
