I think I would be just as pissed if it said he received $880k in bonuses, which is equal to 57% of his salary. Actually I would be pissed if it just said he makes over $2m a year because I don't see him or the NRA doing too much.

Angry Re: Wayne LaPoop gets 57% pay raise

According to a 1995 Los Angeles Times story, the NRA was paying LaPierre $190,000 per year in the mid-1990s. More recently, the NRA has paid LaPierre an annual salary of roughly $1 million. But in some years, LaPierre has earned far more. In 2015, for example, LaPierre took home $5.1 million, the Washington Post reported. According to tax records, he collected $1,090,515 in base compensation that year, plus a $150,000 bonus, plus a special employee retirement plan payment of nearly $4 million.

They've become as corrupts as most "non profit" organizations.
No profit on the balance sheet, it's not needed when they pay executives such outrageous salaries.

Because I didn't read anything about a pay raise. Bonuses? Yes, but that isn't a pay raise.

Before you self-righteously destroy the NRA, let us know what your Plan B is to safeguard gun rights.

It would be useful if whatever group you suggest to replace the NRA has been referred to by gun-haters in verifiable quotes, like "The Republican party is in the pocket of [xxxxxxxx]," or "The Senate is afraid to cross [xxxxxxxx]."

If you don't have a legitimate Plan B, then you aren't on our side, you're helping Schumer.

I'm not defending LaPierre's compensation, I think it's up to the voting members to restrain that. I'm pointing out that killing the NRA is not something you do while you legitimately want to protect our gun rights, and is in fact only done by (a) gun-hating Progressive pussies, and (b) sociopaths who want everything to go to shit so they can bunker-up and start killing random strangers in an all-out civil war.

You can explain how you've contacted the executive compensation board and asked for an explanation, but if your solution was "I never was an NRA member", then I don't find that plausible.
