Wilkinsburg Police To Host Gun Buy Back Event, Participants Receive Giant Eagle Certificates

WILKINSBURG (KDKA)– Wilkinsburg Police will be hosting a Gun Buy-Back event this weekend.

On Saturday, Nov. 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., authorities will be collecting items to promote “safer holidays.”

In the lobby of the Wilkinsburg Borough Building located at 605 Ross Avenue.

There will be Giant Eagle certificates offered, $50 for a handgun and $25 for a riffle.

Ammunition, knives, hand grenades, brass knuckles will be collected without compensation.

Probably not enough time to work up a few pipe shotguns. It'd really kill their photo opp when they say they "took an arsenal off the streets" but the picture is a bunch of plumbing nailed to 2x4s.
