I'll look when I get home, but so far, Streamlights that I've seen have been priced WAY over my budget.
I never paid much attention to the retail pricing, as I received a generous employee discount on some items. And the ones I have are still alive and kicking, so I still don't need to price them. That said:

The concept is not lost on me.
    I'm willing to pay $80-$100 for a proven/well respected brand vs a $30 Chinalight.
I'm not willing to pay $200-$300 though for a Surefire.

With that budget how does the StreamLight TLR 3 not work for you? Just curious

I dunno... I'd have to get a rail and try my light that's like that to see if I like that type of operation.
    Just seems odd.

Two videos (can only embed one in each post) show it as having three modes.

If you can verify 200% that this is NOT the case, I'll be very appreciative of that info.
Perhaps the specs were changed due to complaints?

Looks like the CWL-101, which had the 3 modes, has been discontinued in favor of the CWL-102. They must have gotten a bunch of flack right out of the gate.

I like it and how it comes with all the mounts for it. The other video looks like it's ON/OFF only I think.

    You solved my mystery!
Now that I had all but decided on an $85 Elzetta ALPHA! Ha.

I will assume the Elzetta is a much much better built light, but I can't afford two of them at the same time (factoring in mounts needed)... I may end up with one of each eventually.
I've put off buying lights for so long, I don't want to keep putting it off.
