Re: ltcf never picked up
The fact of the matter is in PA you need a LTCF, be an LEO , or fall under one of the other exceptions in the crimes code to legally carry a firearm concealed.
especially when it’s not even required to carry.
6122. Proof of license and exception.
(a) General rule.--When carrying a firearm concealed on or about one's person or in a vehicle, an individual licensed to carry a firearm shall, upon lawful demand of a law enforcement officer, produce the license for inspection. Failure to produce such license either at the time of arrest or at the preliminary hearing shall create a rebuttable presumption of nonlicensure.

Permit= allow, grant permission to perform/conduct an activity. License=enabled by the license issuer to perform/conduct an activity. Aversion to the word permit is ridiculous. They're the same thing, except the latter almost always costs money, whereas the former might not.
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

Permit is a fine word...when used properly.
Driver's License / Driver's Permit?
Pilot's License / Pilot's Permit?
Hunting License / Hunting Permit?
Professional Engineer License / Professional Engineer Permit?
Parking Permit!

Good thing you’re not the sheriff then 🤷🏼*♂️. You sound like you’d be a tyrant or a Democrat. I don’t NEED a permission slip. I don’t do anything where I’d get searched anyway. But I’ll just apply for a new one. Haven’t had an issue in 10 years. What’s another couple months.
