Sorry, didnt read the entire thread and got here late
Well in an actual free country you wouldn’t even need a “license” to exercise your constitutional right. Forgetting my kids in the back seat is def more important than picking up a permission slip from the govt. especially when it’s not even required to carry.

The fact of the matter is in PA you need a LTCF, be an LEO , or fall under one of the other exceptions in the crimes code to legally carry a firearm concealed.

especially when it’s not even required to carry.
Here’s the section that requires that a licensee carry his/her LTFC when carry the firearm concealed

6122. Proof of license and exception.
    (a) General rule.--When carrying a firearm concealed on or about one's person or in a vehicle, an individual licensed to carry a firearm shall, upon lawful demand of a law enforcement officer, produce the license for inspection. Failure to produce such license either at the time of arrest or at the preliminary hearing shall create a rebuttable presumption of nonlicensure.
So, did you ever contact the sheriff to remedy the problem? If so what happened. If not, what are you waiting for?

Permit= allow, grant permission to perform/conduct an activity. License=enabled by the license issuer to perform/conduct an activity. Aversion to the word permit is ridiculous. They're the same thing, except the latter almost always costs money, whereas the former might not.

Permit is a fine word...when used properly.

    Driver's License / Driver's Permit?
    Pilot's License / Pilot's Permit?
    Hunting License / Hunting Permit?
Professional Engineer License / Professional Engineer Permit?

    Parking Permit!

Good thing you’re not the sheriff then 🤷🏼*♂️. You sound like you’d be a tyrant or a Democrat. I don’t NEED a permission slip. I don’t do anything where I’d get searched anyway. But I’ll just apply for a new one. Haven’t had an issue in 10 years. What’s another couple months.

Yeah. So what. You were busy.

I’ve gotten PA sheriffs to mail mine abroad before - Twice. You’ll need to exercise your nepotistic talents & influencing skills… but you’re dealing with guys that work at the courthouse, soooo…. Probably okay to just wing it. lol

"It took you three years to come up with that response? Yeh, you might want to apply for a new one. Since the one you didn't pick up expired two years ago. Don't bother responding. I'm old. lol
