    Default I hate angled grips

I used to have a Magpul AFG on one of my ARs years ago, recently bought an angled grip made specifically for the Grand Power Stribog and don't care for either of them. Am I alone? I see sooooo many pictures of people's guns with these damn angled grips and I don't know if it's because people actually like them or they see a bare rail and need to spend money. The thumb over bore grip with no angle feels so much more comfortable and natural to me.

I am toying around with the BCM offering on a 11.5” up now and I’m not really feeling it but I haven’t shot it yet. Basically another FU to the NFA on giant pistols that are really short rifles with braces that are really stocks.

None of it is great but it all works.

the psa I just picked up has a magpul attachment for c gripping. not sure if it's staying or not at this point. there are a crapload of what amounts to a curved wedge to act as a handstop for such purposes.

the afg was a bad idea thati swear almost everyone wanted, because it was magpul.

they are good for not shooting your fingers off on a ar pistol.

It's a personal preference thing. I was comfortable with my Colt carbine hand-guards. But when I went to a slimmer M-Lok rail, I tried the bare rail, a M-Lok AFG, and a VFG. The AFG worked the best for me.

It seems like VFG's are in vogue right now based on AR image threads.

I've determined you really have to buy a bunch of magpul's crap to see what you like and there's a chance it may be nothing

Everything has it's pros and cons of footprint vs. control.

A handstop on the last slot would accomplish the same thing without changing the grip angle though. I always build my rifles with the handguard a few inches short of the muzzle so I haven't had that issue fortunately.

I dont like any forward grips on a rifle, but I do use those little stops at the very end of the pistol rail so I dont get my fingers out in front of the 7.5" barrel which barely protrudes from my mid length CasV. On a rifle I just prefer to hold it like a rifle.
