Trust me, they expect to be controlling the government. They are already. Otherwise they would never push for any of this. Elitists all see themselves as smarter than, more entitled, and not bound by the laws needed to keep the rabble in line. If there is one philosophy into which all Ivy Leaguers are indoctrinated -- that is it. Some resist, some later gain wisdom, but most just buy into it and practice it in every phase of their lives and careers.

Well until they learn they are nothing more then pawns in someone elses game.

By then it will be far to late. The damage will be irreversible. Cattle cars will be loaded

2nd Amendment is preemptive self-defense for everyone. While gun control is preemptive self-defense for .Gov and friends.

Exclusion of the riff-raff is practiced or wished for by most everyone. Elite need guns, because the riff-raff probably has guns. Riff-raff has no reason to fear elite, but elite does of him. The more educated and/or rich one is, the easier to identify who is riff-raff. Unfortunately, riff-raff is the large majority and always will be. Ergo, their guns need to be taken from them. But taking their guns will not render them harmless, so it is logical that the elite will always need guns for protection. It's all based on need and the legitimacy of that need.

The highly educated elite are much more dangerous than Joe the plumber that owns an an AR15 to protect himself and his family. They spend all their time living in a fantasy world thinking up theories rather than living life.
