Bullseye anyone?
Well, other than an informal league over the summer with modified targets and basically no rules, I have been shooting bullseye for about two weeks. I am using a Ruger MKIII for the rimfire portion of the match. Stock iron sights, no trigger mods, stock grips. I can't afford a High Standard let alone a Hammerli at this point in time, so the Ruger will have to do. I am also shooting junk bulk pack Federal 40gr. jacketed ammo.
I plan on some trigger work, and a thumbrest grip, and also possibly exlporing the idea of spending the money on some match ammo. (I just don't think it will tighten my groups up that much at this point in time)
I am shooting centerfire with a "loaner" Colt Gold Cup. Reloaded cast bullets.
I am hovering around the 229-239 mark with the centerfire, and am glad to shoot a 220 with the centerfire. Weird thing, I do much better during timed and rapid fire with the .45 than during slow fire....hmmmmm. Too much thinking my shots I guess.
Oh well, anyone else shooting bull? What are you using? How do you do?

We have a .22 bullseye match at Long Branch Sportsman's Club every Tuesday at 7pm from October-May. 50' heated indoor range. $5 to shoot two 30-shot relays.
I use a Browning Buckmark Bullseye with a red dot scope. I usually shoot in the 260's.
