Default Ranges that allow reactive targets?

Anyone know of any ranges around Berks, Lebanon, Lancaster etc areas that allow reactive targets (watermelons, jugs of water etc)? I used to love blowing that stuff up as a kid, but all the ranges don't allow it for whatever reason.

I can't help you with any local ranges, but many have prohibited those types of targets because people leave garbage all over the place....

There are 2 issues with "user brought reactive targets" as you describe. First is that typically they don't put them in a proper location for the rounds to be caught by the backstop (on the ground is one of the worst places due to "skipping"). Secondly, I can tell you first hand people don't clean up after themselves (I'm guessing improper up bringing ). You wouldn't believe the mess the "Fudds" leave behind at our range at this time of year.

"Fudds" = once a year range users, typically around deer season, to sight in their deer rifles, that they haven't shot since last year.

A little Elmer Fudd for your enjoyment
