    Great news, but an appeal was always their plan. They want to take it all the way to the PA supreme court. If the ordinances are upheld there it would basically render preemption moot by the courts because they're unable to do it via the legislature.

    Agreed. In the SCOPA, dems have a 5-2 advantage. This is their end-game.

    If we had a way to finance it, we could sue Peduto and council for 6120 violations which is an M1 offense (5 yrs / $10k). That would send the right signal.

    Hasn't this court upheld preemption before? I'm personally not that worried. Despite the Dems majority, they would have to overturn something that has been held up time and again.

    I'm not concerned with the PA Supreme Court. Check out FN 6 of the recent Hicks decision, that the Court did NOT need to include in the decision...I believe it was purposely included to give Pittsburgh a heads up that the Court does not intend to overturn its precedent and that Pittsburgh should reconsider its strategy - https://blog.princelaw.com/2019/05/3...on-of-a-crime/
