Exclamation Doe with Arrow in Head Spotted in Gated Community

COOLBAUGH TOWNSHIP -- A photo has been making its way around social media showing a doe with an arrow coming out of its head.

The deer has been spotted several times inside A Pocono Country Place near Mount Pocono.

Maybe the deer was doing his impression of Steve Martin's stand up act.

I was thinking maybe a poacher. Why else would the deer hang around. It must be comfortable in that area.

Deer can travel many miles in a day. I once shot one with a multi-blade broadhead in it's hip-bone. Was hobbling on 3-legs. Shoulda seen the puss oozing out!

Sounds like a poor hunter to me. Most likely very little practice with a bow and way out of their personal range limit.

It’s unfortunate that this will become the topic of tomorrow’s recreational outragers , and I would bet my bank account it will end up on PETA’s and the National Humane Societies web sites who already do all they can do to stop legal hunting wherever they can get the support.

Meanwhile thousands of white tails will be quickly and ethnically taken this year putting food on the table for thousands of people reducing the dependence on the evil factory farming.

Can’t get anymore organic then that.

Could have been an ethical hunter law abiding hunter. The gated community is right next to state game lands so he could have been hunting lawfully and not poaching.

Its just that sometimes good shots don't work out. If a deer's head is down you can have a perfect shot. But once it is released the deer can quickly raise its head and thats where the arrow hits. This happened to a friend of mine. He had a grazing deer and a perfect chest shot. But when he released and the deer instantly dropped in its tracks instead of trying to run away. It didn't even twitch. Just dead. When he got down from his stand he saw the deer raised its head and he shot it in the ear thru the brain.

Where this dear was hit was only an inch away from a successful hunt. But now they will have to trap it, rehab it, and give the anti hunter vegans more propaganda. Seems like a cute deer and the media story works here too..............

This is why you need 30 arrows.
