Inspection doesn't matter. In the ten years of running a full serve, I've seen cars with stickers running on may-pops, bad suspension, and a truck or two with compromised chassis'.

No way these vehicles got this way in less than a years time, and I keep seeing them.

Having lived in 3 other states with no inspections whatsoever, I can tell you that PA vehicle inspections don't do a damn bit of difference to the safety of vehicles used on the public roads. The report commissioned by PennDot 10 or 20 years ago that the used to prop up the state inspection requirement even stated that in Pennsylvania, there are on average MORE traffic instances due to vehicle mechanical problems than the average from states with no inspections at all.

State inspections are a revenue generating tool of the government and local shops - don't kid yourself.

It is for this reason I replace ALL my car lights, interior AND exterior with LED bulbs. They will outlast the car, draw less power and are guaranteed for life.

Yeah, but you'll probably still get pulled over for the Puerto Rican flag and disco ball hanging from your rearview mirror.

Nothing wrong with a persons attitude who assumes a cop is superior before even meeting him.

I have a few friends who own/operate auto service and state inspection station who are by the book if not stricter. They don't put a sticker on anything questionable. Not worth losing their inspection license or getting sued.
