Interesting point. Full-auto capability disabled? Possible.

90% of the M-14s issued probably had the fun switch removed.

He was scheduled to give investigators the names of several high ranking West Point officers that accompanied Clinton on several flights on the Lolita Express.

How come it's an M4 RIFLE when a Cadet dissappears with a select-fire carbine , aka ASSUALT WEAPON , but when a private citizen has a semi-auto only copy , the news calls that an ASSUALT WEAPON?

First time I went out I talked about taking my M16A1 home. I was told that I would be followed home by the FBI. I smiled, shook my head and handed it back.

I'm not sure what you got out of my post, but I certainly didn't want him to be still in the military. He should have been forced to pay back the cost of his schooling at West Point since he failed to complete his obligation. Instead they just let him go.

He should have spent the time in Leavenworth.

I have a very soft heart for the misunderstood.

I suggest only two tours of duty in prison.

I agree, but I bet they wanted to quietly let it go, lest an investigation uncover all the red flags about his behavior far earlier and no one did anything about it. It seems that professors at the school were aware of it, but it wasn't until the pictures hit the internet that they felt they just had to do something. I'm sure he's not the only one out there too.
