Default What does it take to get an FFL?

Can someone give me the short version?

Thinking of a part time retirement job.

You'd be better off working part time at gun shop.
Not sure exactly what your plan is, but most businesses require some sort of initial investment and have reoccurring cost of doing business.
You need to figure that stuff out ahead of time to make sure your "hobby" FFL is not going to drain all your savings.
Even if you're only going to just do transfers, talk to some other guys already doing this, they will have knowledge of things you didn't even think about.
    Toujours prêt

    No.
I saved alot on LLC fees being a Veteran but Lic fees were $300 state and ATF, my zoning change was free, my start up stock ($900) was transferred from my collection to my FFL. I paid myself back after they sold and I made some $$$.
Brownells has a great start up kit -forget the $$ but not too much (A&D books, price/repair tags). Also $60 on my logo and $25 for cards to hand out.

Got an low cost business acct at a local bank (who looked at me if I was crazy when I asked would they work with a gun dealer) to set up. Still have not picked a CC provider.
