Default COYOTE ACTIVITY N E PA

Seeing many coyotes up here in N E Pa. towards dusk mostly and they are making there way into several developments from Mt Pocono up into Gouldsboro . Many reports of Feral cat populations getting hit by these along with cat owners who allow their Kittys to go outside never to return .Coyotes according to reports from Homeowners, although PGC acknowledges the coyote increase they are not saying too much more in the way of info.

What else is there for the PGC to say? Coyotes are opportunistic hunters. Unless more folks get out and trap/shoot them, they will continue to increase in numbers.

I've only seen a coyote once standing in the middle of the road on 611 by Walmarts DC. It took off before I could snap a picture. This was at 2 or 3 in the morning.

3AM mountain lions and coyotes can look a lot alike.
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

We heard them howling last night when we were doing Jäger shots around the campfire.

My step kid has taken quite a few. He got permission to hunt on a couple of his horseshoeing clients' properties.

He already got two with his bow this year.

I have a pack of coyotes living around my house in this area and have them on the trail cams all the time. In recent years I would only see a solitary one here and there but now there is a pack right here right now.

Eastern coyotes are alive and well in the Poconos. They are all over the place. And big packs, too (8-10+ animals).

The neighbor just shot one a few nights ago in their back yard. It was getting a little bold toward their purse dog. A nice, healthy male. Probably weighed in around 40 lbs. Tawny. Much lighter than most of the coyotes that I see around here. Most that I see have a lot of gray or charcoal in their pelts.

If you walk down just about any hiking trail or forest road around here, you'll see coyote scats marking territory right in the middle of the path.

They are everywhere. Saw 2 while hunting in Delaware County a few years ago.
