Creating a PAOFA Name

Mine is my name I use mostly online. Its also makes no sense so I've never had trouble with someone taking it.

Today a coworker asked for help setting up a profile here. I thought it was an odd question since it's pretty simple. Turns out he was stuck at setting up a profile name. He must have tried 10 different versions before finding one that wasn't taken. There's a 'first world problem' thread entry when you've got a common name.

Afterward I went into the member directory and sure enough there's a lengthy list of similar names. The frustrating part is all of them fall into the same category... zero posted threads, no reputation points, and last activity was 3, 5, or 10 years ago. We've got a lot of one click wonderers that probably popped in once and never returned.

Have him use MT2.

i am often surprised when there is issue using this name to sign up somewhere, i've got one or two fallbacks that i use instead.
should've capitalized my name here but... the button is so far away.

Sounds like a good name for Indian Guides. When my Dad and I were in Indian Guides, he was “Deer Slayer” and I was “Blackhawk”.
