    Default Ammo Prices

are the ammo prices coming down?

last few days, i have noticed, availability of ammo at a bit lower prices than month ago and are consistently available at that price (from different sites). they are also not getting snatched up quickly

did something change? did production catch up?

    examples:

    https://ammoseek.com/ammo/22lr

I am not familiar with .22 pricing at all but most of the NATO stuff that's available at 'more reasonable' prices is steel cased and it seems to be flowing in heavily.

I don't see prices really dropping for some time to come. When they approach what they used to be then I will consider prices dropping...until then, prices are high.

I disagree, I think that prices have peaked and are starting to wane a little. Overpriced ammo sits for sale and gets bump, TTT, GIF, etc. I don't know that they will go back to where they were as costs have incresed due to AJ's antics and the chirus. Unless some panic buyers find a different need for their money, then there might be some bargains to be had.

i check those links to buy some 9mm ammo. And for the longest i can remember during last year the prices would rarely be under 50 cents per round, but i now find them consistently around 45 cents. and occasionally if i am quick enough i can find for 40 cents a round. which may be still high compared to pre-covid times but its still a slight improvement. just checking to see if some/any retailer on pafoa has any knowledge.

No different than any other panic period.
Eventually people just aren't buying it, so the prices start to come down.
Each panic has it's own "ingredients" and each has it's own differences in how things play out, but it's really not that complicated.

More ammo seems to be becoming available and the prices are starting to come down. I might grab a little 5.56 when it goes below .50 a round, which is still ridiculous.

Last time I bought ammo was in August, when I snagged two cases of S&B 9mm for $189 a case.

it went up faster than it is coming down...I bought a case of 1000 9mm around April of last year for $250 that sold the month before sold for $199 .. less than a month later it was going for any where from $750 to $1000
