Re: Penn Prof.: Guns Protect Sense of Manhood/Merely Phallic Symbolism
Being a clinical assistant professor of psychiatry, he has perfected the act of psychological projection.
Any mission, any conditions, any foe at any range.
Twice the mayhem, triple the force.
Ten times the action, total hardcore.

Re: Penn Prof.: Guns Protect Sense of Manhood/Merely Phallic Symbolism
Freud thought there WAS a connection between guns and sexual feelings, but his theory was that those who had a phobia against guns were sexually immature, probably caused by seeing daddy's penis around the house.
This professor is revealing more than he planned to reveal about himself.
As for gun owners, there's no unified theory that can explain how men and women purchasing shotguns and rifles and handguns and little dinky sub-compact pistols is all in aid of projecting a bigger dick. I like a Glock 26, which is black and yet very small and short. The fact that it holds 10 rounds and fits in my pocket and is reliable, is likely more of a factor than any sexual inadequacy on my part.
Perhaps the full article explained why our government spends billions in tax dollars in arming its employees with guns of all types, while that same government inexplicably refuses to spring for dildos and vibrators and sex dolls. It's almost as though guns serve some actual purpose, instead of being wholly immersed in pseudo-scientific sex babble like the professor is.

Faulty cause and effect.
Look up the term and how/why its taught as a skill to take apart such nonsense as this guy's article. I'm no fan of Freud personally. (I took him apart in my oral exam when I was doing a masters program) However even he occasionally made sense by saying in essence not everything is about sex.

Owning a gun == mental disorder
thinking you're a sex that you're not == perfectly normalRules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.
