    Default .454 Casull lever guns?

Pretty simple. Any out there other than Rosi that aren't $3,000.00?

Trying to match a long gun with an eventual handgun.

Not that I've seen. I'm in a similar circumstance.

Years ago Ruger made the No. 1 chambered in .460 SW(which will also fire .454) I considered buying one of those.

    What's wrong with Rossi?

Those offered from Big Horn Armory (the $3,000 rifle you referenced above) is a fine looking rifle in fancy walnut. Because of this thread, I now have one on my bucket list.

I looked at them and IMO it's junk and won't hold up well with this cartridge. Too lightweight IMO.

Yes a beautiful gun, but too rich for me.

I could live with about 1/2 that, but that's about my high end.

I own a few Rossi M92s and they've all been great rifles. The 92 action is pretty damn strong. I know Rossi had some issues with the 454 about 10 years ago, but that's since been resolved. Most of the recent reviews online have been pretty positive.

On the subject of being too light, I would agree on that. My wife has a Puma in .44 mag. That thing kicks like a mule with full horse loads. I couldn't imagine shooting a 454 out of any lever gun.

    I have a Rossi in .454.

Holds up just fine. You can find them on gunbroker.

You can also use a Henry big boy and shoot +p 45lc.
