It is not often I cheer on the ACLU, but this is one of those times! Heading this off at the pass, so to speak, will be a lot easier than having to take it to court later.

The ACLU has a very mixed record on winning cases because they bring many frivolous and questionable cases before the courts. Most of their cases involve destroying the culture.

Shall the Pennsylvania Constitution be amended to grant certain rights to crime victims, including to be treated with fairness, respect and dignity; considering their safety in bail proceedings; timely notice and opportunity to take part in public proceedings; reasonable protection from the accused; right to refuse discovery requests made by the accused; restitution and return of property; proceedings free from delay; and to be informed of these rights, so they can enforce them?

    same source.
A victim would have the right to refuse a discovery request, inhibiting the accused’s right to confront the witnesses against him, present his best defense – especially if the victim is the only witness – or even preclude access to exculpatory (i.e. otherwise exonerating) evidence that a putative victim may hold

Judging from the former posts the "No" vote has the majority.
