Re: First Pistol ....What and When ?
About 20 or 25 years ago.
F.I. Industries model D .380 ACP
Made in WASHINGTON D.C.
I only carried it a short while before getting a Colt Pony.
I hated how the safety dug into my side when carried IWB.
I can't seem to bring myself to sell it.
My first handgun and it's a bit of an oddity.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Re: First Pistol ....What and When ?
Colt Python 8" - 1991. My uncle had just gotten remarried and just had a newborn son. ...needed the $ badly. $450, came with reloading dies, holster, belt, zippered bag, a couple boxes of reloads, and an agreement that if I ever wanted or needed to sell it that I'd give my uncle right of first refusal.
I was 20, so we had the Jefferson Co sheriff draw up the transfer. Sometime around 2005-2006 he wanted to sell a Ruger Vaquero that I wanted badly. So we traded straight up even. I knew he got the better deal, so did he. But I wanted him to have his Python back. A couple years later at a family shoot he just up and gave me a Winchester '94 Trapper in the same caliber as the Vaquero to make up for things.
My first handgun purchase from a FFL - Sept or Oct of 1993(21yo) in Temple Terrance FL. A Norinco 1911A1 for $279 or $289 + tax. Still have it today.Last edited by knight0334; October 7th, 2019 at 08:37 AM.

Re: First Pistol ....What and When ?
My first was a S&W Model 19 in 1986; still have it and shoot it. I was born and raised in the People's Republic of NYC for 18 years, and then spent 14 years in Boston before coming to PA. It was here that I learned about being an American and the ability to actually own a firearm without police proctology and everybody looking at me like I had two heads.
