It's used to describe a gun owner who has been beat by the Left to the point that he actually does the Left's work for them because he wants to be politically correct.

Look, I get it. I do understand that you are protecting yourself against a possible lawsuit or prosecution. But at what cost? If everyone is going to require a government license to purchase a firearm, then isn't this exactly what the Left wants from society? In the future, what would you say if EVERYONE is mandated to need a license granted by your government to purchase a firearm? Would you be upset about that? Well isn't that what you've done to yourself by placing this restriction on buying a firearm from you?

I'm here to discuss this issue. To those who feel the need to add a snide remark, have at it. I'm a big boy and you're not going to chase me from this discussion with your remarks. If the mods want to shut this thread down, then so be it. But I'm trying to understand why Conservative, gun loving, Constitution believers, would restrict another from the purchase of a firearm just like the Left, liberal, gun hating, socialists would do.

Have a great day my fellow Conservative brothers and sisters.

No idea here either - and not interested in looking it up.
No insult intended. Not like what I've seen here in this thread.

    Battered Gun Owner Syndrome

Used to describe gun owners who have been beaten by the Left's rhetoric into going against popular Conservative beliefs, only for political correctness reasons.

It's NOT complicated, federal laws cannot be broken. Reasonable assurance one is not prohibited, which cannot be easily ascertain upon meeting.

Those points have been mentioned, but you refuse to pay attention.

Hey now, that is insulting..., not all of us are conservatives.

I get what you're saying, and, I get what other people are saying. EM and I recently did a trade and didn't require ID from each other, but that's because we know each other.

I view it not as BGOS, but being a responsible gun owner. I have a gun safe..., using your logic, then I'm playing into the left's demand that we have safe storage laws. I do not support safe storage laws because they're stupid and unenforceable, but I still keep my guns in a safe to protect them and myself, and I think it's something that responsible gun owners do. Same as if I am selling a gun to an unknown actor..., just because I want to protect myself from a bad transaction doesn't mean that I support any of the policy measures that you pointed out. That is a false dichotomy. I can both oppose those policy measures and protect myself without running afoul to such a stance.

Another example would be training. I oppose mandatory training for firearms ownership, but I think that responsible gun owners seek out training and train frequently in their use and deployment. That doesn't mean that I support mandatory firearms training.
Life has a melody. Not great, not terrible.

Who's asking you to violate Federal law? This has nothing to do with Federal law. A simple review of a driver's license will determine if the buyer is a PA resident.

Where does it say the buyer of a private sale has more rights than seller?
