Of all the 9x19mm JHP on the market...
Which would be the most likely for a one shot stop center mass?
I currently have Winchester PDX 1 124 gr +p in my G19.
All would be on the same target say, average human, 6ft 200 lb, wearing a t-shirt, not on PCP and and at 15 yards. Did I cover all of the variables? Lol.Last edited by Armor90; October 3rd, 2019 at 11:55 PM.

All I can say is take a day and watch a bunch of gel tests. And most people will stop attacking after being hit center mass, may not die or drop right there but you shoot till the threat ends not necessarily death.

Truth of it is, in 9x19, most modern jhp rounds prove effectively the same. Find the one that feeds reliably and is accurate in your pistol. A better benefit comes from shooting a shit ton to get as many hits center mass as possible. Practice with your carry ammo as much as feasible also, as it doesn't always hit to the same point of aim as your practice ammo. If you can find one that does hit to the same point of aim as your practice ammo, that's the best case scenario, since you can shoot way more cheaper.

Pistols in general aren't the best for one stop shots, unless you hit something vital. The resolve within the person you are attempting to stop factors in greatly.
What you have now is fine.
A while back I found a good source for LE Federal 124gr +P HST and bought what I consider to be enough for quite a while. It's quality ammo and I trust it, perhaps more so than the Winchester you run, because I have a good stock on hand, can go out and shoot with it and not have to treat it like "my precious ammo that I can only use if my life is in danger", I know where I can get more for what I consider to be a reasonable price, and it's proven "in the field."
Now, I've heard compelling arguments for 500 ft/lbs of muzzle energy being the gateway to true stopping power.
A quick search found 125gr .357 sig makes that list, as does 10mm in many varieties, and even some .40s are knocking on that door, 165gr and under. Velocity seems to be the ticket. 9mm in any flavor (and also .45, sorry guys) doesn't get up to the 500 ft/lbs threshold, topping out around 400 even.
Now, how much that on paper advantage translates into the real world is a subject of contention, and is why people will debate calibers ad nauseum.
I know that there are loads and calibers that are theoretically better than what I carry in my 9mms, but I don't feel outgunned with it in the slightest, especially when it's relatively easy to have 40 or more rounds of 9mm on my person in just two magazines... and especially when you couple that with the knowledge that most citizen involved shootings are resolved in less than 5 shots (thank you Paul Harrell for pointing that out).
That said, I may go get .357 barrels for my Glock 35 and 27, just to give it a try.

The best round is the one you and your gun have the most reliable results.
If that doesn't work try 147g +p++ buffalo corbon HST black sabre talons.

Re: Of all the 9x19mm JHP on the market...
Glue it to the front of a truck an a BB will guarantee a one hit stop.
Otherwise the question based on a false premise. No two bodies are going to be identical, no two shoots are going to be identical, and no two hits are going to be identical. All modern name brand hollowpoints all perform about the same and it is far smarter to go with what is the most accurate and reliable out of the gun you're using than anyone else's recommendation.
