WE're in a State of Emergency.

I believe the longest one in our history. There has never been a more valid time.

To be more clear, There is absolutely no situation where you need to use a firearm that an SBR/SBS (at a minimum) is not superior to a handgun. It is always better to have a rifle then a handgun in an shootout.

The problem is (and I speak from experience), carrying a rifle around all the time is a huge pain in the ass, and leads very quickly to complacency. Most of us have determined that the likelihood of need is low enough to not justify the hassle.

If this individual believes that the likelihood of a active shooter/robbery/kidnapping is high enough that he to justify the extra hassle of a rifle/SBR/pistol brace when he goes shopping, then that is absolutely his right. It is the responsibility of every citizen to take personal ownership for their own safety and make their own assessments of risks and steps to mitigate those risks.

Maybe not so much if you're attacked in an elevator.

Anything can have 3 uses. Examples: pencil writes, defense, offence.

An SBS, such as the US Army standard issue M26 shotgun would be superior there I would think.
