Disagree. The whole Walmart thing is a good example. “It’s our right time carry in Walmart!”

OCing a pistol, fine. It is a defensive weapon.

An AR is more of an offensive weapon. I could see doing so in a state of emergency, but not otherwise.

where as I agree open carrying an AR in this current environment is stupid I wouldn't classify any weapon as offensive due to the thought process of uneducated people. The majority of the firearms I own are defensive regardless of what type or style be it AR , AK , glock etc. To suggest that it is more offensive may lead people who do not know any better to use that statement against us.

That would fall into the "tinfoil" threads. Trust me, I know.

My rifles have never assaulted anyone, therefore, by definition they are not assault rifles.

Now, the day my rifles start walking around punching random people in the face, well, then they may qualify for some common sense restrictions

I won’t let my rifles read about this Giant thing though, don’t want them to get.....

Edit to clarify (since it’s in the general forum).......it’s a pun, not a threat

Add a bunch of smileys to soothe the easily offended lurkers

ARs have been mainly used in defensive situations as opposed to offensive (criminal) acts.

Ironic you say that. We're not supposed to carry in a SOE. Ask Governor Wolf.

Unless and until I snap and go on a rampage (chance = zero), ALL of my weapons are defensive.

There are those, however, who find it offensive that I own even a single handgun.

I don't fully disagree with what you're trying to say, but words mean things, and an AR is not an offensive weapon in good hands.

If I actually had an AR, I'd be tempted to use it on that creepy robot that follows you around in Giant these days...

Weapons are neither offensive nor defensive. They're just weapons.

They may be USED offensively, or they may be USED defensively.
