Just checked into our hotel. We can see the Capitol building from here, so we are going to walk around the mall for awhile until heading to the meeting spot. Traffic wasn't bad coming down 95/495/50 for those coming that way. See you guys over there around 12-1230.

After a train delay/failure and a BP raising traffic jam on the expressway, daycrawler and I have made it to the Amtrak station in philthytown and our train reports as on time, should arrive at union station around 1230.

If coming from Orange, Blue, or Silver lines: I believe Capitol South or Federal Center are the closest Metro stops.

If coming from Red line: I believe Judiciary Square is closest. *See note.

*Note: wmata (DC Metro authority) is advising that attendees for the Nats parade will likely use Judiciary Square, Federal Triangle, or Archives since these stations are closest to the parade route, so it may be best to avoid those stations, if possible, especially when heading home.
