Default Question for those who have ambi safty on their AR?

Do you find it easier to put the safety back on with your trigger finger vs your thumb?

As a lefty, this is my only option most times... And it's not bad.

Don't have an ambi safety but I do like ambi mag releases.

I thought I'd hate having a lever on the right side of the gun so I held out on trying one until recently. Not only do I not mind having it on the right side I do like to flick up into safe with my finger instead of reaching front and pulling it back with my thumb.

I still use my thumb. I have to shoot weak side often in competition. Trigger finger stays outside until ready to fire. Thumb always runs the safety no matter if shooting leftie or righty.

I fire lefty, and I find the ambi safety (at least that the army bought) more of a bother then a help.

As a lefty, I find the standard (right handed safety) when in the "fire" position, interferes with my grip (hits the first knuckle on my trigger finger). I switched out my match AR's to a left handed safety "only" to eliminate that interference.
Funny thing is, I almost never use the safety on those rifles. If I'm not shooting the rifle, it's empty and grounded and the bolt is in the open position without a mag inserted.

On my other AR's, I have both standard safeties and ambi. I just use whatever's on the rifle. Trigger finger or thumb to manipulate, doesn't matter to me.
