Default Spring Field Armory Saint Edge AR Pistol

    https://www.springfield-armory.com/

What do you guys think of the Edge AR Pistol
from Spring Field Armory with a 10 inch barrel? My local FFL has one for $1400. I never had an ar pistol but heard great reviews about this one especially the Maxim brace. The Maxim brace is about $400 itself.

$1400.00 is grossly over priced for anything that bares the name of Springfield Armory especially when its written on an AR15. At that price your in BCM, DD and several other much more respected AR companies prices most of which didn't try and fuck over the gun owners of their state a few years ago.

What does the Maximum brace do over the original SB PDW for $400.00?

I’m pretty sure I could assemble a pistol using a top of the line FN CHF barrel, Geissele rail, and their bomb proof gas block along with other higher tier or premium parts using the SB PDW for under $1400.00. The only difference is it may weigh a few ounces more.

Those companies are struggling hard to sell $600 guns for $1,200+, aren't they?

Colt couldn't sell $600.00 guns for $850.00 the last 5 or 6 years and they are Colt.

    $700

Look it up online and see what it's selling for at a few places. This isn't rocket science.Try buds gun shop - they usually have good prices. At least it may give you an idea if your shop is in the ballpark or if they are taking advantage of the fact that you aren't doing any research.

Agree^^^^ SA Saint pistol on Bud's is $800, it just doesn't have the Maximum Brace on it. You can get the Ruger AR pistol for about $700 and I've heard good reviews on it.

if you're into a high-end price range, I'd take a look at the LWRC DI pistol:

    https://www.preppergunshop.com/lwrc-...al-sba3-brace/
[not necessarily the best price, just found it as an example]

IMO, a much better way to spend that kind of money. No reason to buy Springfield at that price when you can have LWRC, Daniel Defense or BCM.
