If you still believe that old internet crap about 7.62x39 AR15s being unreliable because of magazine feeding issues, you need to step into the current century and come to understand that mag feeding issues are a thing of the past.

C Products Defense - now marketed as Duramag - is the solution. They work.

Now that I have 3 of the 5 sizes available, I wanted to take some pics to share so people can see the differences.
They are available in 5, 10, 20, 28, and 30 round capacity and the body is made of stainless steel .

My favorite is the 28 rd. They are notably smaller, with a less drastic "curve" than the 30 at the sacrifice of only 2 rounds. Their size/shape allow them to be used in many mag pouches intended for 30 round 5.56 USGI mags and I have tested this and found it to be true with some exceptions.

I love my 7.62x39 carbine so much that I am building a pistol in the same caliber.
So far the upper is complete - as seen in these pics with it mounted on a pistol lower from another build until I get the lower for this upper completed.

The only true negative of an AR15 in this caliber is that the bolt face is a weak point that can break because they are essentially using 5.56 sized bolt and cutting the face to accept the larger round, leaving a thinner area on the bolt than on a 5.56.
I plan to get a few extra bolts as spares "just in case".

Certainly less expensive to shoot than 300BLK

Yes my thoughts were 7.62x39 is available almost anywhere and costs way less

I picked up 4 more of the 28 rd mags while AIM had them in stock. (best prices plus free shipping over $49)
They aren't as commonly available as the 30 rd mags and I've seen it where they aren't available ANYWHERE for months at a time, so I got them before I regretted not getting them while I could.

Of the four mags they sent, one was the previous C-Products Defense mag and three are the NEW Duramags (made by C-Products Defense)

I noted that the follower is slightly different on the Duramag and that the magazine body has a "post and hole" assembly on front and back where the weld spots are.

I'll grab a few pics to show the difference when I get a chance.
