Carrying Multiple Firearms
Howdy Folks,
Recently, I went to a local gun store here in town and was looking to buy another firearm to use as a backup. One that if SHTF, I could store in my bug out backpack. When explaining this to the store manager, he said that the PA carry license only allows the carrying one pistol at the time, and rifles aren't allowed to be carried. (I wasn't even asking about rifles). He followed saying "If you want to carry more than one at a time, that you should get a new hobby". REALLY? While, I like guns, It's way more than a hobby. To me, it's personal protection first. So I thought that was a stupid comment.
Anyway, looking at my carry license, it says "PENNSYLVANIA LICENSE TO CARRY FIREARMS", so I feel like we are allowed to carry two or more. Besides the one in the backpack would be unloaded unlike the one on my hip. I did do some quick google searching, but all the results were old.
When I take my road trips (within PA), I would like to carry another gun in my pack.
So. as of 2019, is it still legal to carry more than one? or is this guy right?

^^^^This!^^^^
Never take gun law advice from a fudd at a gun shop.
Or even worse, from a cop.

The guy is an idiot and is 100% wrong.
I've carried 3 holstered pistols to the range on my body once.

Re: Carrying Multiple Firearms
I was carrying two earlier today, one on me and one in my man bag.
I left the one (on me) in my truck when I went into the township building to get a permit.
Dont listen to that guy.
