Walmart Open Carry 9/14
ON 9/14 I went to my local Walmart in Mansfield, Tioga county. I was packing my Colt 1991A1 openly. The only mod to the 1991A1 is the addition of a CTC laser grip. No one cared.

Re: Walmart Open Carry 9/14
I prefer not to open carry in general but I'm glad no one cared. I hate most human interaction so I do anything I can to avoid drawing unwanted attention to myself.

Re: Walmart Open Carry 9/14
I enjoy assisting customers find what they need. I'm one of the few I've noticed (on my team) who actually attempts to follow the "10 foot rule".
"Technically" associates are supposed to greet every customer within ten feet of them, ask if they need any help finding anything, and thank them for shopping at Walmart. (although I leave out the corny part, thanking them)
The initial (computer based) training is very heavy on customer satisfaction, but I've seen almost zero reminders from management in regards to customer service - and that's one of the things my specific position is supposed to include - assisting shoppers locate what they need.
In one of these Walmart threads, I said that they lost a good employee when they made these recent announcements, and while I detest the fact that I have to work there under the new changes, I find that I can't be an uncaring asshole even if I try - I still help customers, I still stop and straighten a box on a shelf that could fall and injure someone, I still pick up a piece of trash that someone could slip on...
I can be an asshole on here, but in real life, hey... I just gotta be me.
I'm not going out of my way to help Walmart, and I won't be as prone to help out behind the scenes now, but I'm not going to be a dick to people who are just looking to find the water chestnuts.
So much for looking forward to transferring to the sporting goods area and getting "the key".I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!
