Keep the Heat on House Republicans!

GOA activists have sent more than THREE MILLION messages to Capitol Hill and the White House. Democrats are VERY worried that their gun control proposals will not pass.

Anti-gun Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut said he “puts the chances of a deal on expanding background checks at less than 50-50, because of pressure from the gun lobby.”

Please add your name to our pre-written letter that will go to EVERY SINGLE House Republican telling them to VOTE NO on the gun confiscation and gun ban bills. Let’s flood their inboxes so that our letters are the only thing they see.

Urge House Republicans to VOTE NO on gun confiscation legislation!

Keep Republican House members “on notice” by sending them a message against these bills.

Subject: Oppose the gun control bills that are coming out of the Judiciary Committee

Dear [official],

The House Judiciary Committee recently reported three gun control bills:

1) Magazine bans that will endanger law-abiding gun owners facing multiple attackers (H.R. 1186);

2) “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation Orders (H.R. 1236) that will throw out Due Process; and,

3) Hate crimes gun ban (H.R. 2708) which will impose a lifetime gun ban on gun owners for non-violent actions -- primarily because they held views Democrats don’t like.

Please OPPOSE these bills.

As pointed out by Gun Owners of America (GOA), our country does not need additional laws to deal with killers like the Dayton, Ohio shooter.

GOA’s Legislative Counsel Michael Hammond penned an article in Townhall showing that the Dayton killer could have easily had his guns removed (using due process) if anyone had bothered to use existing law.

The killer had a long record of threatening people, and as it turns out, one can be charged in Ohio with “menacing,” which the state treats as a felony.

But here’s the problem: If the authorities weren’t willing to charge the shooter under current law, they certainly would not have “red-flagged” him.

Please OPPOSE all gun control. Instead, please pass Rep. Richard Hudson’s concealed carry reciprocity bill (H.R. 38) and repeal gun-free school zones (H.R. 3200).
