Re: Giant eagle jumping on the bandwagon.
Or at least everyone will hide their guns like they are doing something naughty, and the world can go back to thinking nobody has guns.

Re: Giant eagle jumping on the bandwagon.
Yup.......So what is a large corporation supposed to do? Once carrying in their stores becomes a known issue it then turns to a liability. Even if the CEO was pro 2A by the time the decision gets to their committees and lawyers there is just one decision to make.
Look at Starbucks. An ultra liberal company that at one time said open carry of long guns was OK in their stores. So in "appreciation" a bunch of guys in camo started storming into their stores open carrying any rifle they could think of. Many not even in a sling. Just holding it in their hands and standing around next to the donuts (look up some pictures). Then there was the 3 amigo asshats giving national attention that it is OK to walk thru Walmart holding loaded ARs in your hands. I will give Walmart some credit for not shutting it down earlier. Thanks guys.

Re: Giant eagle jumping on the bandwagon.
I'd suppose Giant Eagle customers would prefer to get their groceries for free. Doesn't mean it is going to happen.

I will gladly honor the wishes of any establishment that I may enter. My list of establishments who I'm honoring with a lack of my presence is growing, but that's okay, there's plenty more.

Re: Giant eagle jumping on the bandwagon.
Oh bullshit
Most of those photos and incidents were from Texas. They were fighting to get open carry legal there and weren't allowed to carry handguns openly, but rifles were okay. That's why they did it to make a point and they got open carry legalized in Texas through their efforts.
Personally I've only open carried a long gun at a rally, but we have legal open carry in this state so I don't see the point here in it. I open carried a handgun for a couple years almost exclusively and only had one negative encounter. What I did have was quite a few thumbs up and thank yous and plenty of questions about carrying in general that I was happy to answer. I don't know if those people ever started carrying, but I'd like to think at least one of two did.

At some point, we do have to admit that this guy, and people like him, did just ruin it for everyone.
Life has a melody. Not great, not terrible.

Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.
