Default Cabela's might not be a good place to buy guns...

As its been discussed here before lots of people on this forum don't buy guns at Cabela's because they're too expensive with their guns and you can often get the same gun somewhere else at a lower price. I do admit Cabela's does price gouge on their guns and now days I very rarely ever do buy guns at Cabelas except occasionally they do specials where you can get a good deal. But Cabela's is a good store to buy ammo. Usually their ammo prices are quite good and I would recommend buying ammo at Cabela's over buying ammo at Walmart any day.

As a matter of fact I would recommend buying clothes at Cabela's in Hamburg over buying clothes at the nearby Walmart, or any Walmart. Anything that you can get at Walmart that you can also get at Cabela's I would recommend getting at Cabela's. Anything you might need at Walmart that you don't find at Cabela's I would recommend buying it somewhere else besides Walmart. I would not recommend shopping at Walmart, spending money at zwalmart, for anything.

Have bought ammo from them and at competitive prices. Nowadays its SG Ammo for me. Got an awesome range bag for $14.99 that is better than many I've seen for $50-60 elsewhere. Bought lots of clothing for years and am rarely disappointed. Never considered buying a gun from them though.

I know someone that does, says the clothes are junk. Removed for security purposes.

So does that mean good or bad prices? Are they s****y, or 'the s***' ?

I think most of their stuff is pricey, but they have some decent clothing sales on occasion.

The only time I buy anything it's with points. You don't worry about how much it is when it's free.

Their ammo prices are as good as, if not better than, most other places.

True. Last year around Thanksgiving time I got a brand new Ruger Super Redhawk .454 Casull from Cabela's for free, because I used club points.
