Re: Turning anguish into action.
The existence and actions of these severely misguided, narrow-minded, myopic individuals can only be explained by one of two possible theories...either (1), they are so incredibly naive, stupid, or both, that they truly have no idea at all of the implications their cries will have on the demise of The United States of America, Liberty, Freedom and democracy (as if all of that has not been eroded away enough), or (2), they knowingly are on a mission to destroy The Constitution of The United States in order to usher in Socialism, Communism and Tyranny. In the second case, their myopic "vision" has prevented them from understanding what their own actions will eventually have upon themselves...the idiots.
This government is spinning out of control, and most of the population doesn't seem to give a rat's ass. In only a little more than 200 years, this country has devolved from being a Democratic Republic entirely guided by The Constitution...a government by the people, for the people...to some perverted form of Plutocratic Oligarchy, where these despicable politicians manage to get themselves elected into office by tracking the sentiment of the hand-full of voters that actually make it to the polls, in order to know how to change their position on any given issue to ensure a win, all only to satisfy their own agenda of keeping the ride on the state or federal gravy train going for as long as possible, awash in cash and unparalleled benefits for essentially showing up for "work" a few days per year...and fuck everyone else. So those who cry the loudest are those that get what they want. The "silent majority" - if that even exists anymore - no longer works under this scheme.
Where once it was "by the people, for the people" is now "by the chosen few, for the chosen few".
In order to make sure the above remains the case, the first thing the P-O-S must do is to disarm the citizens.
Well, my friends...if only 52 people - or less - actually turn up in Harrisburg on Sept 24 and 25, the blind libtard cry-babies will most assuredly be one step closer to that goal.
The PAFOA Hearings thread has almost 14,000 views, several hundred posts, but yet only 52 members who claim they'll be in Harrisburg during the "hearings".
Moreover, Pennsylvania has a population of about 13 million. If one allocates a few million to libtard-dominated SE PA/Philth-a-delphia, and maybe a million or so additional libtards in and around Shitsburg, that should leave somewhere around 8 MILLION gun owners remaining throughout the state. WTF are they?
I'll tell you where they are...they are being lulled into submission, hypnotically fixated on the idiot box, while being virtually lobotomized by said corporate and government propaganda machine.
They better wake the fuck up, or they'll soon be handing over the few firearms left we're "permitted" to own by Big Brother, which, of course, will mark be the end of what remains of The United States of America.
Keep doing nothing, and in the not-too-distant future, we'll all be lucky to be "allowed" to own a Philadelphia Derringer.
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.Last edited by MIKIEG; September 12th, 2019 at 11:16 AM.

Re: Turning anguish into action.
Is it possible that what is perceived as a general antipathy to government is actually a quiet glee while watching the self-destruction government has reached?
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

Re: Turning anguish into action.
With the renewed push for "Do Something", perhaps we should think along the same lines. There may be no better time than now to press for National Reciprocity. If we are going to succumb to increased screening and regulations, the trade off should be National carry rights. It's a Federal database.... seems only logical.
The best defense is a good offense.

Re: Turning anguish into action.
NEVER, NEVER, NEVER even THINK of bartering away the Bill of Rights, or to just "give-up" and let "the government" (which is SUPPOSED to be The People, but we all know that concept vanished long ago) gain more control over its citizens. This runs counter to everything a true American believes in. 2A is NON-NEGOTIABLE.

No...this "machine" we now refer to as "the government" is not imploding - it's only becoming larger and stronger by the day, encroaching on its peoples' inalienable rights ever more. It will not self destruct, rather, it will become North Korea West. Not sure about anyone else, but the very thought angers me to no end.

Re: Turning anguish into action.
I was not suggesting we roll over... hence my reference to being on the offensive. My point was to hold our elected representatives accountable to our desire to enact National reciprocity. Like it or not... Politicans respond to the masses, and the masses want them to "Do Something" and they will to preserve their electability.
But National reciprocity needs to be part of the discussion at this time if any changes are to be made.
Make it so as part of a "bipartisan" compromise.... as they like to say.

Thanks. Another bunch of busybodies who want to run the world cause they cannot run their own lives.
Always amazes me that these people want local governments to pass their own gun control. Wonder how they'd feel if these communities banned abortion clinics, gay friendly Churches, gay bars, and so on? Bet that they wouldn't like it.

Re: Turning anguish into action.
I don't trust "them" to keep their word.
Some of us still remember the Hughes Machinegun freeze. Hughes and Rangel trashed the NFA by making it into a political football. The NFA registered automatic firearms were an almost perfect gun registry. Everyone complied, submitted fingerprints, had the form 3 signed and waited months. One murder in almost twenty years, by a Dayton Ohio police officer. Ten suicides. Out of 250,000 firearms.
Those two bozos managed to prove for all time that a gun registry is a target of opportunity.
If there was a way to turn that National Reciprocity database into a "basis of gun ownership" in order to "levy taxes for the pain and suffering of our communities" they'd do it.
Imagine, for example, that your Nationwide gun license was abused to levy a $100 fee each year? Anyone up for that?
Until the gun control lobby abandons confiscation, something that seems to be popular with a lot of Democrats, you really cannot give them an entry.Last edited by GeneCC; September 12th, 2019 at 11:50 PM.

Re: Turning anguish into action.
This kind of arrangement works with people who are willing to compromise. I give, they give.
Most gun control people consider "compromise" as a slow motion confiscation. They don't understand win/win. They want to win.
The only thing that they understand is the gun owners vote and contribute money. If they had their way we'd have a $200 transfer tax for a break open shotgun. Maybe a 22 LR after you've "behaved" for a while. The main reason we have no degenerated to this point is because enough of us push back.
Step out of line, they take your toys. Like they do in Great Britain. People have had their licenses threatened for social media posts that were not even violent, just "offensive".
These people want to control everyone.
The Extreme Protection Orders are the latest gimmick.
